Celebration Fellowship is a Cooperating Southern Baptist Church
(although we aren’t mad about it!). As a cooperating SBC church we
support world-wide missions in cooperation with 50,000 other SBC
churches through our International Missions Board.
By this cooperative effort our denomination is able to keep more
missionaries on the mission field around the world than any other
denomination.
We have two families that have gone out from our church as IMB
missionaries that we specifically support in prayer.
Sean and Shelly Blacksten (former worship leader at Celebration)
were for years in Germany but as of 2007 will be stationed in Spain.
Al and Diana Hoopes (former counselor at Celebration) are in the
Philippines.
Celebration also is financially supporting a Bible translation
project in Madagascar through The Seed Company (a division of
Wycliff Bible Translators). The project is a three year effort to
translate the Gospel of Luke.
Celebration is also involved in supporting local missions such as
the Women’s Choice Resource Center, the Home of Greater Joy Women’s
Shelter, and Arlington Night Shelter. |
